The Panino: everything began in Rome

At Wine Artist we take back Panino's tradition and deliver it to your table on a whole new level. Merging the traditional simplicity and the highest gourmet ingredients to deliver a culinary revolution. Researching and discovering the greatest combinations of ingredients from small farming distributors all over Italy and importing it in the UK.

As we said, everything began in Rome. A city custom of consuming bread with something else in between that started this tradition. Speed, practicality, taste. In fact, if it hadn't been immediately clear to what delicacies the various possible combinations of bread and different fillings could give life, we would waste a lot of time not knowing what a good PANINO tastes like. In Italy eating fast means, traditionally, eating "on the street". And above all, eat well. On a cultural level, the role of the sandwich has taken on ever-changing forms over the decades, even if until recently it was relegated to the margins of the Mediterranean diet, because it was always and only considered a "makeshift" meal.
